This is a sources sought synopsis only for market research. The purpose of this sources sought is to gain knowledge of potential qualified SDVOSB/VOSB and Small Business vendors relative to NAICS 811219. Responses to this sources sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought, a solicitation announcement may be published. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses for a solicitation announcement. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 22 Network Contracting Office, is seeking sources that can provide Marking, Commissioning, and Data Optimization of medical instruments at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System located at 11301 Wilshire Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90073. Please see attached statement of work for specifications. The information identified in the attached statement of work is intended to be descriptive, not restrictive to indicate the quality of the supplies/services that will be satisfactory. It is the responsibility of the interested source to demonstrate to the government that the interested parties can provide the supplies/services that fulfill the required specifications. If you are interested and are capable of providing the sought-out supplies/services, please provide the requested information as well as the information indicated below. Response to this notice should include company name, address, point of contact, size of business pursuant to the following questions: (1) Please indicate the size status and representations of your business, the Government is seeking: Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), and Small Businesses. (2) Is your company considered small under the NAICS code identified under this source sought announcement? (3) Does your company have an FSS contract with GSA? If so, please provide the contract type and number. (4) If you are an FSS GSA contract holder or other federal contract holder, are the referenced items/solutions available on your schedule/contract? (5) Please provide general pricing for your products/solutions for market research purposes. (6) Please reference all prior contracts that are relevant to experience laser marking surgical instruments, recording data about surgical instruments, and importing that data into a production surgical instrument database. Provide the following: (a) legal name of entity with whom the vendor held the contract; (b) Contract number; (c) a description providing details of the specific tasks the vendor performed under the contract; (d) the dates during which the vendor performed the contract; (e) whether the provided reference contract is for services provided by the vendor or provided by a proposed subcontractor of the vendor s; (f) whether the vendor or its proposed subcontractor was the prime contractor or a subcontractor for that provided reference contract; (g) the name, phone number, and email address of a person at the entity with whom the vendor (or vendor s proposed subcontractor) held the contract who can verify the information the vendor provides in the narrative description for this factor. The VAGLA is under on-going construction that will continue throughout contract performance. Therefore, all processing shall be performed offsite from the VAGLA campus: and because all work must be performed offsite VA cannot permit contractor access to VA s production CensiTrac system via VAGLA IT systems, the vendor must have independent offsite access to CensiTrac software product. 1) This procurement requires that the contractor must provide its own laser marking equipment that meets Electronic Design Automation (EDA) standard 4.0 provide narrative confirming your company possesses this equipment or explain how you plan to meet this contract requirement 2) This procurement requires that the contractor must perform all work off-site due to construction at VAGLA campus provide narrative explaining your ability to do this work offsite and meet 24-hour turn around requirement for marking and commissioning instruments 3) This procurement requires that the contractor must have independent capability to access the CensiTrac software product to commission the instrument data and, after performing data validation, transfer newly commissioned instrument data into VA s production CensiTrac surgical instrument tracking system provide narrative describing if you currently have this capability or explaining how you will meet this requirement.
