STATEMENT OF WORK INTRODUCTION: The Contractor shall provide Preventive Maintenance Services, to include software and firmware updates for IPA scrubEx scrub and alEx Linen Exchange Systems, located at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VAGLAHS). Department of Veterans Affairs VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System 11301 Wilshire Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90073 The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, travel, lodging and any other supplies or equipment necessary to perform the requirements as outlined in this Statement of Work (SOW). SCOPE OF WORK: The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, tools, parts, operating and/or Technical/maintenance manuals, training, delivery, and accessories necessary to furnish and install the linen dispensing cabinet. CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS: The contractor shall work in accordance with the IPA s coverCare and reinstatement preventative maintenance to inspect, clean, adjust and repair the units. Software and firmware updates required to ensure proper equipment operations are included, along with server upgrades. Preventive Maintenance, coverCare includes: Unlimited phone support from our experienced Customer Service Engineers ii. On-site service call labor from our 300+ factory-trained technicians iii. All repair and preventative maintenance parts iiii. An annual Preventative Maintenance Visit, including a 100+ point equipment inspection iiiii. Applicable software / firmware updates as needed iiiiii. Same-day service for requests made before noon 4. NORMAL WORKING HOURS: Contractor will shall be performing services between the hours of 8:00 AM through 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, with exceptions to National Holidays. To include unlimited toll-free support. 5. OVERTIME AND NATIONAL HOLIDAYS: Any overtime or holiday pay that may be entitled to the Contractor s employees shall be the sole responsibility of the Contractor and shall not be billed to nor reimbursed by the Government. In accordance with 5 U.S.C. 6103, Executive Order 11582 and Public Law 94-97 the following national holidays are observed and for the purpose of this contract are defined as Legal Federal official holidays : New Year s Day January 1st Martin Luther King s Birthday Third Monday in January President s Day Last Monday in February Memorial Day Last Monday in May Independence Day July 4th Labor Day First Monday in September Columbus Day Second Monday in October Veteran s Day November 11th Thanksgiving Day Fourth Thursday in November Christmas Day December 25th When a holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday will be observed as a National Holiday. When a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday is observed as a National Holiday by U.S. Government Agencies. Also included would be any day specifically declared by the President of the United States of America as a National holiday. 6. SMOKING POLICY: Smoking is strictly prohibited on the grounds of any VHA facility. Per VHA Directive 1085 dated March 5, 2019, it is VHA policy that all VHA health care facilities, including hospitals, community clinics, administrative offices and Vet Centers, will be smoke-free for patients, visitors, contractors, volunteers, and Contractors effective October 1, 2019. There will no longer be designated smoking areas.
