The requirement listed in Attachment A, Tab 1, Line 80, is hereby replaced in its entirety with the following new requirement: Contractor must provide a blood culture instrument system training program consisting of three (3) training events. Training requirements shall include the proper operation of the system, data manipulation, and basic trouble shooting and repair. The first training event shall be virtual training for the VA facilities at some point between the award of the contract and prior to arrival of the model of instrumentation being placed. The second training event shall be conducted in-person on-site at each VA facility after delivery/installation and during validation of instrumentation for VA group staff. The third training event shall be virtual training for each VA facility, occurring at a date agreed upon between the VA and contractor, to address any additional questions or procedures that the facilities may have after operating the equipment for several months. Contractor shall record the live virtual training events and make them available to the VA after completion in a timely manner. If virtual training does not achieve a sound understanding of the training requirements listed above for all VA technical operators and VA group staff, training shall revert to in-person on-site training at no additional costs to the government. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
