The Department of Veterans Affairs, on behalf of VA Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS), intends to solicit commercial services and supplies supporting its existing ASSA ABLOY/MEDECO Intelligent Key high-security lock, cylinder, key, and software system. The contractor must provide authorized, current, compatible MEDECO equipment, licensing, software updates, and support while maintaining compatibility with the installed MEDECO environment. Deliverables include 150 MEDECO Intelligent Key lock cores, 200 Intelligent Key fobs (25 heavy-duty and 175 standard), 5 Integrated Programming Devices, and 100 industrial-rated moisture-resistant 32 GB micro SD cards. The requirement also includes at least one MEDECO server software upgrade per year, critical security/functionality updates, and 24-hour support for software issues. Performance/support is for VANCHCS sites in Northern California.
