Pre-Solicitation Notice of Intent to Sole Source Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 21 intends to award a sole source, Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (FP-IDIQ) contract to Garden Isle Healthcare (FKT9VULETNX8) . The Contractor is currently providing community nursing home (CNH) services to seven (7) Veterans at the facility and a follow-on contract is being established to provided continued care for the Veterans at the CNH facility. Please keep in mind that patient care and choice in the decision is the highest priority to the VA. As prescribed in VHA Notice 2020-32 and VHA Handbook 1143.2, for more than 35 years the CNH Program has maintained two cornerstones: some level of patient choice in choosing a nursing home close to the Veteran s home and family, and a unique approach to local oversight of CNHs.
