This requirement is to furnish and deliver bulk rock salt for the Las Vegas VA Medical Centers Industrial Water Softener located at 6900 North Pecos Road, Las Vegas Nevada 89086 in accordance with the AASHTO Specification M143, Sodium Chloride Type 1, Grade 1. Bulk rock salt shall be 95 to 98 percent pure sodium chloride. Maximum moisture content shall be no more than two and a half percent (2.5Yo). Bulk rock salt not meeting the standards listed in these Specifications shall be subject to rejection by the VAMC.
