In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 10.002(b)(2), this Sources Sought Notice is for market research, information and planning purposes only at this time and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct a market survey seeking qualified businesses, including Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned small business (SDVOSB), Veteran-Owned small business (VOSB), small disadvantaged businesses (SDB), Women-Owned small business (WOSB), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) small business, 8(a) small business and small business concerns, that are potential sources interested in and capable of performing the work described in the work statement attachment. This anticipated requirement is for a Fixed Firm Price service contract at the VA Palo Alto Healthcare System, to retrofit three boilers in accordance with the attached work statement. The NAICS code is 238220 - Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors, and the corresponding Small Business Administration (SBA) small business size standard is $19 Million. Your responses to the Sources Sought will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. Interested firms fitting one or more of these socio-economic categories should send their information by email to nicole.renfrew@va.gov no later than 9:00 AM Pacific Time, September 27, 2024. The following information is requested in response to this notice: Please fully complete the attached Sources Sought Response Form, including firm UEI, and indicating type of socio-economic category, e.g. SDVOSB, small business, etc. If firm is a SDVOSB or VOSB, please be sure to include Firm UEI to allow confirmation of status as SBA certified SDVOSB or VOSB. All information must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on the availability of interested firms fitting one or more socio-economic categories.
