This Notice of Intent/Solicitation is provided to advise that the Government intends to solicit a firm-fixed price purchase order sole source award, for the procurement of the two Medivator Advantage Plus Automated Endoscope Reprocessors for the Sterile Processing Service along with annual maintenance and technical support to Steris Corporation 5960 Heisley Road Mentor, OH 44060-1834. This acquisition is for the VA Palo Alto Healthcare System at 3801 Miranda Avenue Palo Alto, CA 94304-1207. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii) and 41 USC §1901, only one source will meet the Government’s needs. This notice satisfies the requirement at FAR 5.201(b)(1), requiring publication of the proposed contract action. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. However, IAW FAR 5.207(c)(16)(ii) any business that believes it can provide Medivator Advantage Plus Automated Endoscope Reprocessors along with annual maintenance and technical support may submit a capabilities statement or quotation which shall be considered by the agency, by providing written notice to derek.brown7@va.gov. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. Responses will be considered by the Government; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposes acquisition based upon responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Questions related to this notice are due by the time and date stated in box 20 of the SF1449. Your response should include a statement of capability, DUNS#, business size, federal supply schedule (if applicable) and socio-economic status. This synopsis does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service. The government will not pay for any costs incurred by responses to this notice.
