This Notice of Intent/Solicitation is provided to advise that the Government intends to solicit a Firm-Fixed-Priced Purchase Order Sole Source award, procurement of Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) catheters to the only source fund capable, SHOCKWAVE MEDICAL, INC. This is a Brand Name or Equal requirement, which uses the Shockwave C2+ IVL Catheter as a basis of design. These IVL catheters are used for intravascular procedures, in which calcium and lesions are diffused by pulses. This action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii) and 41 USC §1901, only one will meet the Government’s needs. Only one source is capable of responding due to the unique or specialized nature of the supplies and/or services. It is the Government’s belief that the proposed candidate is the sole distributor of the Air Innovations Sterile Storage Cabinet systems can meet the agency’s needs. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339112 (SURGICAL APPLIANCE AND INSTRUMENT MANUFACTURING), 1000 employees size standard and the Product Service Code (PSC) is 6515 (HOSPITAL FURNITURE, EQUIPMENT, UTENSILS, AND SUPPLIES). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any business that believes it can provide a Sterile Storage Cabinet System may give written notice to joel.brown6@va.gov by the due date and time stated in the “General Information” Heading . All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Responses will be considered by the Government; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Your response should include a STATEMENT OF CAPABLILITY, GSA SCHEDULE INFORMATION, DUNS#, BUSINESS SIZE, AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC STATUS. THIS SYNOPSIS DOES NOT COMMIT THE GOVERNMENT TO CONTRACT FOR ANY SUPPLY OR SERVICE. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT PAY FOR ANY INFORMATION OR ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS INCURRED IN RESPONSE TO THIS SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION.
