This is a notice of intent to sole source a contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(2), only one source being available to meet the Government s need. The contract is estimated for final completion by 09/30/2024. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. The FSC/PSC is 6640, Laboratory Equipment and Supplies. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to solicit and award a sole source, firm fixed price contract for the procurement of Equipment Service and Supplies needed to perform Capillary Zone Electrophoresis to Sebia, Inc., 1705 Corporate Drive, STE. 400, Norcross, Georgia 30093-2991. There are no other source of supply/service that will satisfy agency requirements. This is a follow-on bridge contract for 36C26119P0278 that is due to expire on 31 Mar 24. Sebia, Inc. systems are currently installed and in use at the San Francisco VA Health Care System (VASFHCS). A new long- procurement is currently being worked. VASFHCS cannot afford to discontinue these services while the long-term contract is solicited and awarded as veterans rely on these tests for their healthcare. There are no other known sources capable of meeting the requirement without a lapse in care. If no responses are received, the Government will continue with its sole source procurement, and a sole source Request for Quote will be published to contract opportunities in accordance with FAR 5.102.
