The below RFI s were submitted in writing and in a timely manner, prior to the deadline specified on RFP 36C26123R0053. The RFIs are answered and hereby incorporated into the RFP and distributed to ensure Fair Opportunity for all interested vendors. Question No. 1 Will each access point require one or two CAT6A cable? Answer: One Cat6A per access point. Question No. 2 Are there any requirements for line voltage? Will any electrical work be required in IT/Server rooms? Answer: Power for the AP is via POE (Power Over Ethernet). No electrical work is required in the IT/Server room. Question No. 3 - Are there any RCP as-built available? Answer: AutoCAD is available and will be made available to awardee. Question No. 4 - Box 10 it states that an offer guarantee is required, but box 13b has checked that an offer guarantee is not required. Please clarify if a bid bond is required. Answer: Solicitation is amended to reflect a bid guarantee is not required, however payment bond is required for contracts greater than $35,000. Successful contractor shall submit payment bond within ten (10) calendar days of notice of award. Question No. 5 Please provide reflected ceiling drawings for the buildings that have the (16) new AP s installation. Answer: Drawings will be provided to the awardee. Questions No. 6 Are the AP units VA provided? If not, please provide brand and model. Answer: AP units are provided and will be installed by the VA. Question No. 7 Please provide the total amount of cores that are needed to bring the cabling to a different floor level. Answer: Contractor shall assume 9 out of the 16 would require cores.

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE Subject: VISN 21 MACC Sources Sought, Project No. 662-22-702, NexGen WiFi AP Installation (1) The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Sources Sought Notice or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. All information contained in this Sources Sought Announcement is preliminary, as well as subject to modification. (2) Although proposal, offeror, contractor, and offeror may be used in this sources sought notice, any response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal. (3) The purpose of this sources sought is to conduct market research to support the project identified above. This notice serves to survey the market in an attempt to ascertain whether or not sources are capable of providing the requested services. This notice allows potential contractors/vendors to submit a non-binding statement of interest and documentation demonstrating their capability. The sources sought effort is intended to assess industry capabilities and develop/support the intended direction of acquisition planning. The Network Contracting Office (NCO 21) is requesting responses from qualified business concerns; the qualifying NAICS code for this effort is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. (4) This sources sought notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classifications (Service Disabled/Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB/VOSB), Hub zone, 8(a), small, small disadvantaged, woman owned small business, or large business) relative to NAICS 236220. Responses to this notice, will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Based upon information received in response to this Sources Sought Notice, the Government shall make a determination on a procurement strategy, which shall include the type of small business set-aside, if appropriate. The eventual procurement strategy and set-aside, if appropriate, is solely within the discretion of the Government. After review of the responses to this notice, a solicitation announcement may be published. Responses to this notice are not considered adequate responses to any corresponding solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this notice. Background: The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking vendors who can provide all labor and materials needed to perform all demolition, replacement, installation, and commissioning to support VA efforts to upgrade to next generation Wi-Fi communications at the Fort Miley and off-site locations to include, Mission Bay Research and Santa Rosa CBOC, as per the attached Statement of Work. The vendors must demonstrate the ability to meet all requirements for this notice. See Statement of Work and additional attachments for all details. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction., and the small business size standard is $39.5M. PSC Code is Y1DZ, Construction of Other Hospital Buildings. In accordance with FAR 36.204 and VAAR 836.204 Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects is anticipated between $25,000 and $100,000. Potential Offerors must also have a current Online Representations and Certification Application on file with SAM. Some of the Aps could not be installed previously due to conduit requiring vertical penetration, can you please explain your experience with low voltage wiring and drilling as required. Feel free to provide previous contracts of the same nature. 3. Government anticipates a twenty-one (21) days Period of Performance. Please advise if you believe the period of performance is adequate for all three (3) sites. If not, please explain why. 4.
