VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System intends to negotiate a sole source contract with their affiliate, University of Nevada, Reno for Institutional Review Board services. This sole source action is in accordance with FAR 13.106-1. Only One Responsible Source and No Other Support or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no competitive solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements or provide an equal product may give written notification to the contract specialist for consideration. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed above for the requested support/services. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Under Statutory Authority U.S.C. 253(c)(1) the Government anticipates entering into a sole source procurement negotiation with University of Nevada, Reno to provide Institutional Review Board (IRB) Services for VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System. The above authority is cited and justification made based on the determination that the Government's minimum needs can best be satisfied by services available from one source. This announcement is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1. Other persons may identify their interest and capability by responding to this requirement by December 2, 2022, 3:00 PM Pacific Standard Time. The applicable NAICS Code is 611310 and the size standard is $30.5 Million. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes.
