DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: 1.1 Vendor will provide all labor, personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other items or services necessary to assist the SFVAMC grounds and gardeners in maintaining and improving the facility. 2. TASK FREQUENCY, EMERGENCY JOBS, STAFFING, AND INSTRUCTIONS: 2.1 Task Frequency - The vendor tasks will differ depending upon season and requirement. 2.2 Emergency Jobs - Vendor may be required to remove declining, dead, and/or fallen trees and/or limbs in which the service must be provided within 6 hours of notice. 2.3 Staffing - Vendor employees must be issued a station badge. The badge shall be displayed on their person while on property. Vendor must provide a worksite supervisor. 2.4 Instructions - The contractor shall ensure equipment is of commercial grade and regular maintenance is preformed to keep in safe working/operating condition. 3. TREE WORK 3.1 Pruning Vendor may be asked to prune or limb trees to keep plant material two feet or further from real property, to enhance ornamental value, or remove damaged and/or declining and/or dead branches. 3.2 Removals Trees removals may be required on damaged, diseased, or dead trees. Six mature and declining/dead Monterey Pines will be removed for this requirement. 3.3 Stump Grinding Removed trees may require stump grinding based upon the tree s location within the facility. 3.4 Debris Chipped tree debris may be used as mulch at the facility with CORs discretion.
