The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office, in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) (single source), intends to negotiate on other than a full and open basis with Bay Medic Transportation and American Medical Response West for a one (1) year bridge contract for a period of performance of twelve (12) months for acute and basic life support ground ambulance transport services for the following counties: Solano, Sacramento, Contra Costa, Alameda, Butte, Humboldt, Placer, Sutter, and Shasta located within the VA Northern California Heath Care Systems. Period of Performance shall start on October 1, 2022. This will allow the VA time to procure a long-term contract. This notice of intent is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that the responding company can provide the same ground ambulance services in the same areas equal to Bay Medic Transportation American Medical Response West. Any interested vendor needs to submit their proof of license as an ambulance provider for all counties listed above. Responses must be received no later than 3:00 pm PST on August 24, 2022.
