This is an intent to sole source notice for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 5.2, Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. This announcement constitutes the only notice of intent to sole source and synopsis of proposed action. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VHA, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 21 intends to negotiate/award a sole-source contract to Strategic Industry, Inc., a certified Service- Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The contract will be a six-month Firm Fixed Price contract with an option of extending the service for an additional six-month period. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. § 3304(a)(5) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302- 5(a)(2)(i) entitled, Authorized or required by statute. The applicable statute is Public Law 109- 461: Veterans Benefits, Health Care, and Information Technology Act of 2006 specifically, the Veterans First Contracting Program outlined in 38 USC § 8127(c). The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 561210, with a small business size standard of $41.5M, and the FSC/PSC is Z1DA. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to solicit and award a sole source contract to provide General Building Maintenance and Repairs / Handyman Services at the San Francisco Veteran Affairs Medical Center (SFVAMC). This is a short-term requirement to assist the facility complete upcoming required general building maintenance and repairs for the San Francisco Veteran Affairs Medical Center (SFVAMC). THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS. A SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE POSTED. All responses received by the closing date specified herein will be considered by the Government, any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that the responding company can provide the same services by the required date.
