The purpose of this sources sought is to conduct market research to support the procurement and installation of Shade Sail at the VA Palo Alto Healthcare System (VAPAHCS). This notice serves to survey the market in an attempt to ascertain whether or not sources are capable of providing the requested supplies/services. This notice allows potential contractors/vendors to submit a non-binding statement of interest and documentation demonstrating their capability. The sources sought effort is intended to assess industry capabilities and develop/support the intended direction of acquisition planning. The Network Contracting Office (NCO 21) is requesting responses from qualified business concerns; the qualifying NAICS code for this effort is 314910 Textile Bag and Canvas Mills. This sources sought is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classifications (Service Disabled/Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB/VOSB), Hub zone, 8(a), small, small disadvantaged, woman owned small business, or large business) relative to NAICS 314910. Responses to this notice, will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this notice, a solicitation announcement may be published. Responses to this notice are not considered adequate responses to any corresponding solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this notice. Requirement: Description QTY/UI Custom fabricate and provide (1)42'x43'x43'x43'waterproof custom shade sail with stainless steel cable perimeters and corner rings 1 EA Remove and dispose existing shade sail. Install new shade sail 1 JOB Shipping/Delivery 1 EA VA Palo Alto Healthcare System, (VAPAHCS) is has a requirement to purchase and install one (1) shade awning (Shade Sail), 43 x43 x43 x43 , to be used for therapy sessions with patients, family and staff members in the outdoor area of Menlo Park B400 Welcome Center Healing Garden. The Shade Sail is not a square per se, it has concave sides/edges to it, see below photos and diagram. All sides are 43 when measuring in a straight line, please ignore the 42 on the sketch. Key will be the ability of the product to: Withstand extreme weather conditions e.g. strong winds, heavy rain, extreme sunlight and to provide ample shading in the summer and remain in serviceable condition with minimal maintenance. Parts (stainless steel cable perimeters & corner rings) to be available for field replacement by VA maintenance shops. Delivery Contractor shall notify the VA POC, a minimum of 48 hours advance notice of the scheduled delivery date by providing the carrier information and the Tracking # as well. All deliveries will be sent to Building 50 Receiving warehouse. In the event there is a delay in delivery, Contractor shall notify the VA POC immediately. Contractor shall ensure that the driver of the delivery vehicle has copies of the delivery order at time of delivery and to include the PO#. Contractor shall not attempt to deliver any items before the scheduled delivery date unless VA POC is given a minimum 48 hours advance notice and approved. Include past experience in providing this system to the VA, other Government (Federal or State) agency, or for a private facility. Please specify your availability and your address.
