NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE MODIFICATION Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 21 (NCO 21) hereby gives notice of the Government s intent to sole source an out-of-scope modification to purchase order 36C26122P0043 for an additional quantity of 42 doses and a price increase for calendar year 2022 with SOFIE CO. for Pylarify prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) positive emission tomography (PET) prostate cancer imaging agent deliveries at the VA Northern California Health Care System: 10535 Hospital Way, Mather, CA 95655. Pylarify, (Piflufolastat F-18), is a radioactive diagnostic agent indicated for positive emission tomography (PET) of prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) positive lesions in men with prostate cancer. It can be used for men with suspected metastasis who are candidates for initial definitive therapy or those with suspected recurrence based on elevated serum prostate-specific antigen (PSA) level. Determination of this single source procurement is in accordance with Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements per 41 U.S.C. § 1901 and as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). It is the Government s belief that the proposed candidate is the only manufacturer of PSMA PET prostate cancer imaging agent that can meet the agency s needs. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 325412 (Pharmaceutical Preparation Manufacturing) and the Federal Supply Code (FSC) is 6505(Drugs and Biologicals). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Any business that believes it can provide the PSMA PET prostate cancer imaging agent for VA Northern California Health Care System may give written notice to moneque.rodriguez@va.gov by 3:00PM Hawaii Time on March 18, 2022. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Responses will be considered by the Government; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. THIS SYNOPSIS DOES NOT COMMIT THE GOVERNMENT TO CONTRACT FOR ANY SUPPLY OR SERVICE. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT PAY FOR ANY INFORMATION OR ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS INCURRED IN RESPONSE TO THIS SYNOPSIS.
