The contract will be for a one (1) year base period and three option years. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541519 Other Computer Related Services, with a small busines size standard of 1000 employees. The FSC/PSC is 7F20, IT and Telecom. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 21, NCO21 Honolulu, HI on behalf of VA Southern Nevada Health Care System, Medical Center (VASNHCS), wants to purchase continued support of the current Wayfinding &Veteran Guest Internet Access systems. This will cover all major CBOCS as well. There is no other source of supply/service that will satisfy agency requirements. The vetted Wayfinding &Veteran Guest Internet Access will be maintained at the: VA Southern Nevada Health Care System 6900 N. Pecos Road North Las Vegas, NV 89086, USA. The Wayfinding and WIFI is integrated and has been customized for the Southern Nevada Healthcare System (SNHCS) as well as approved through VA Mobile Application Security Assessment (MASA) process. Veterans Affairs Wayfinding application is developed to provide a gingerly like experience for the Veterans. By using this application, veterans can easily search to find clinics and amenities throughout in the hospital. The contract not only covers VA SN ISP and licensing, but also the hosting of the custom Wayfinding Application for iOS /Android and hosting of the digital mapping found on hard kiosks throughout the facility. Thundercat has the partnership with both Medics and InPixon who are the required services to host these features. Medrics designed the application responsible for working with VASNHCS IT services in its development. In continuing on with continuum, using the same application will further expand the application for other elements such as asset tracking and include services such as Benetravel in the Application Programming Interface (API) integration that interconnects all systems through the SNHCS. InPixon designed the graphical user interface (GUI) interface on the Wayfinding on the 14 "You are Here" Kiosks throughout the facility. InPixon pulls the map from Medrics that has been developed for VASNHS and provide services to direct Vets to Appointments. The customization of these services is a multiple collaboration to get the system functioning in both design and architect. If this is not a Sole Source (SS) it will have significant cost impacts and schedule delays to the department up to one year to develop, redesign, configure, etc. A new contractor would need to build from scratch and host these from there as this will also be stripping out a customized application currently in place. This would put wayfinding out of commission since it would have to be built from the ground up. Further, the app has already been approved and vetted through VA Mobile Application Security Assessment (MASA) process with all VA security enhancements enthralled in the whole system.
