The purpose of this notice is to announce that the Government intends to procure MechoShade window roller shades under FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures for VA Palo Alto Health Care System for the Stockton Community Based Outpatient Clinic that is under construction. The solicitation will be advertised as full and open (unrestricted). Contractor shall deliver the requested MechoShade window roller shades to the site listed in the solicitation and provide additional services to include Project management, Design, and field dimension verification. The requested items need to be delivered by 02/07/2022. The applicable NAICS code is 337920, Blind and Shade Manufacturing. The size standard is 1000 Employees. The PSC is 7230, Draperies, Awnings, and Shades. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which will be considered by Network Contracting Office (NCO) 21. The solicitation documents will be issued on or about December 9, 2021 and will be posted on beta.SAM.gov. This date is subject to change. Manufacturer will provide Warranty documents for building owner acceptance. b. Minimum of ten (10) years warranty on Roller Shade, brackets, mounting hardware, and chains etc.. c. Roller Shades Motors, Motor Control system, and accessories: Manufacturer s standard non-depreciating five (5) year warranty. d. Blackout Shade Chelsea cloth and 1% open EuroViel 25 year warranty on fabric. e. The product will be free from defects in material and workmanship in normal use and service. f. Manufacturer will repair or replace any defective parts falling under a limited warranty for ten (10) years from the date of purchase and will be responsible for reasonable labor and shipping costs incident to repairing or replacing any such defective parts, subject to the exclusions set forth herein. g. Manufacturer will repair or replace, at manufacturer s option, any part of the product, or the entire product, that is defective in material or workmanship in normal use and service. h. An MS (MechoShade) Warranty applies to MS products fabricated by MechoShade Systems, LLC Lifetime Limited Warranty is defined to be the life of the project for which it was originally purchased, not to exceed 25 years from the date of shipment for specified products only. Warranty for unnamed hardware and fabrics shall not exceed 10 years from date of shipment. Warranty for unnamed electronics shall not exceed five years. i. This Warranty extends only to the original buyer of MS (MechoShade) products that have been installed by an authorized MS Dealer representative. MS shall be promptly notified of all complaints or claimed product defects with sufficient time for MS to inspect the product on site or at the dealer s facility. 4. Dimensions and Features a. Exact dimensions of existing wall conditions or hold-to dimensions for constructed walls and shade pockets to be built, will need to be established prior to production. b. Contractor is responsible for field verification of building dimensions prior to manufacturing. Coordination required with General Contractor and VA Interior Designer or Project Manager. The government intends to award one firm fixed price contract. The NAICS code is 337920 Blind and Shade Manufacturing and the corresponding size standard is 1000 employees.
