The purpose of this Sources Sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award of a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. Description: The Contractor shall furnish all personnel to provide services necessary to perform onsite Orthopedic Physician Services to eligible beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Sacramento (hereinafter referred to as VAMC). The contractor s physician(s) care shall cover the range of Orthopedic services as would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility and the standard of care shall be of a quality, meeting or exceeding currently recognized national standards http://www.aaos.org/research/guidelines/guide.asp as established by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) http://www.aaos.org/ Period of performance: TBD The Government requests capability statements and comments from interested businesses regarding the requirements described above.
