Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 21 (NCO 21) hereby gives notice of the Government s intent to establish a single award fixed price indefinite delivery/ indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for a period of performance of 5 years with Cepheid, Inc: 904 Caribbean Dr., Sunnyvale, CA 94089-1189 to acquire Cepheid GeneXpert Infinity Molecular Reagents and Supplies. This IDIQ will be used as a simplified method of filling anticipated repetitive needs laboratory reagents and supplies at the VA Southern Nevada Health Care System at 6900 N Pecos Road, North Las Vegas, NV 89086. This IDIQ will be established with a single source, Cepheid, because they are the sole manufacturer of the required reagents, kits, and supplies for the GeneXpert Infinity analyzer. Determination of this single source procurement is in accordance with Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements per 41 USC §3304(a)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. It is the Government s belief that the proposed candidate is the only provider of the reagents, kits, and supplies that are compatible with the GeneXpert Infinity analyzer that can meet the agency s needs. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 325413 (In-Vitro Diagnostic Substance Manufacturing) and the Federal Supply Code (FSC) is 6550 (In Vitro Diagnostic Substances, Reagents, Test Kits and Sets). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any business that believes it can provide Cepheid GeneXpert Infinity Molecular Reagents and Supplies may give written notice to moneque.rodriguez@va.gov by 3:00PM Hawaii Time on November 27, 2020. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Responses will be considered by the Government; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. THIS SYNOPSIS DOES NOT COMMIT THE GOVERNMENT TO CONTRACT FOR ANY SUPPLY OR SERVICE. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT PAY FOR ANY INFORMATION OR ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS INCURRED IN RESPONSE TO THIS SYNOPSIS.
