This notice is being published in accordance with FAR Part 5 requiring the dissemination of information on proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement contract and is not a request for competitive proposals. The statutory authority for this sole-source procurement is FAR 8.405-6, Circumstances justifying limiting the source. The Department of Veterans Affairs Pacific Islands Health Care System (VAPIHCS) located at Honolulu, HI intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract with Verathon Inc, 20001 North Creek Parkway, Bothell, WA 98011 for routine maintenance and emergency repairs of Verathon Bladder Scanners located in Hawaii, Guam, and American Samoa. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. No telephone inquiries will be accepted.
