This is a Sources Sought only. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is performing market research to determine if there are any SDVOSB/VOSB/SB vendors that can a centrifuge to perform lab tests for patients supporting the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System, North Las Vegas, NV. There is no solicitation document as this time. The NAICS is 334516 with Small Business size of 1,000 employees. NOTE: Please ensure that System For Award Management (SAM) (www.sam.gov) indicates this NAICS code if you are interested in the requirement. SDVOSB/VOSB status will be verified using VetBiz. Capability statements Location of facility Identify a price estimate for a centrifuge based on the salient characteristics below. (Note, this is not a request for quote – it’s requesting pricing information for market research purposes only.) Salient Characteristics Essential/significant physical, functional, and performance characteristics: Must be a centrifuge designed for an industrial hospital environment Must be small and designed for use on a tabletop and be ten (10) inches (+/- 2 inches) wide and ten (10) inches(+/- 2 inches) deep Must be a low volume centrifuge with eight (8) to ten (10) tubes of various sizes Must have multiple time settings between two (2) and five (5) minutes Must have a spin rate up to seven thousand two hundred (7200) rotations per minute (rpms) Must have a fixed angle rotor Must have a lid that locks Generic identification: Large, tabletop refrigerated and non-refrigerated centrifuges – high volume refrigerated and non-refrigerated centrifuges. Swinging buckets, self-balancing rotor. Bucket inserts for a variety of tube sizes. Variable speed/G force with speeds up to approx. 4700 rpm. Multiple program settings for a variety of sample needs.
