Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 21 (NCO 21) hereby gives notice of the Government s intent to negotiate a single award fixed price indefinite delivery/ indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for a period of performance of 5 years with Biocompatibles, Inc. : 300 Four Falls Corporate Center Ste. 380. West Conshohocken, PA 19428 to acquire Yttrium 90 glass microspheres Therasphere. This IDIQ will be used as a simplified method of filling anticipated repetitive needs for providing Yttrium 90 glass microspheres Therasphere to therapeutically treat patients with primary and metastatic liver cancer (Hepatocellular Carcinoma [HCC]. at the VA Northern California Health Care System, Mather: 10535 Hospital Way, Mather, CA 95655. This IDIQ will be established with a single source, Biocompatibles, Inc. because they are the sole distributor of Yttrium 90 glass microspheres Therasphere. Determination of this single source procurement is in accordance with Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements per 41 USC §3304(a)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. It is the Government s belief that the proposed candidate is the only provider of Yttrium 90 glass microspheres Therasphere that can meet the agency s needs. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 325412 and the Federal Supply Code (FSC) is 6505. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Any business that believes it can provide the Yttrium 90 glass microspheres Therasphere may give written notice to moneque.rodriguez@va.gov by 3:00PM Hawaii Time on July 31, 2020. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Responses will be considered by the Government; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
