This notice is being published in accordance with FAR Part 5 requiring the dissemination of information on proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement contract and is not a request for competitive proposals. The statutory authority for this sole-source procurement is FAR 6, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Veterans Health Administration intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract with Recology Vallejo DBA Vallejo Garbage and Recycling located at 2021 Broadway Street, Vallejo, CA 94589-1701 to provide Storage, Transportation, and Disposal Services of Non-Hazardous Waste and Refuse for the VA Mare Island Outpatient Clinic. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. No telephone inquiries will be accepted.
