Scope of Work: Provide all engineering, design, labor, equipment, materials, tools, and supervision, safety measures and transportation to replace the roofs of building 324 and building 331 (wings B, C and D). The contractor shall plan and coordinate with the COR for sequences of tasks. For demolition, this project requires completely removing all existing built up roofing system and insulation down to the structural concrete / roof deck of Building 324; removing corrugated patio roof of Building 324; completely remove all existing Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) roofing system and insulation down to the roof substrate of Building 331 Wings B, C and D; removal of all unused curbs and roof opening coverings; legally disposing of all demolished roof material; removing curbs and openings; installing building material flush with the existing roof. Also, re-using existing stainless-steel parapet caps as much as possible on Building 324. For new roofing system, this project includes installing a Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) roofing system per manufacturer’s design requirements; replacing all utility supports; adding curbs under building 324 air handling units; replacing roof entry hatch on building 324; installing handrails along utility walkway edge of building 331; and replacing boots on hot and cold service water pipes entering building. Required period of performance is 360 calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP), which includes 60 days for review and approval of submittals, and 300 days for roofing work. Work shall be performed during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM. No work shall be performed on weekends and federal holidays.
