Page 2 of 2 The VA Palo Alto Health Care System intends to negotiate a sole source contract with The Lucas Center for Imaging at Stanford University. The proposed contract action is to perform MRI scans to conduct brain imaging. Stanford University will provide the MRI machines, the VA will be providing the technicians. The required machines to complete the services are 3 Tesla (3T) General Electric MRI. This sole source action is in accordance with FAR 13.106-1. Only One Responsible Source and No Other Support or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no competitive solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements or provide an equal product may give written notification to the contract specialist for consideration. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed above for the requested support/services. Responses are due by August 16, 2019 at 12:00 PM Pacific. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
