**ALL FIRMS ARE INSTRUCTED NOT TO CALL THE INDIVIDUAL VA MEDICAL CENTERS REQUESTING MORE INFORMATION. ** CONSTRUCTION PROJECT - 640-18-155P, PA - Renovate Bldg 100 and 7 Outlets. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS), has a requirement to test and replace electrical outlets and/or IT data outlets (data drops) in Building 100 and Building 7. This requirement will also include minor construction such as wall repair, desk modification, patching, sanding, priming and painting. The intent of this procurement is to award a firm-fixed price construction contract. Work includes, but is not limited to, providing all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform the removal/replacement/repairs. The Statement of Work (SOW) will be provided with the future solicitation, if any, and will define the effort required for the completion of work. The Government will not reimburse the firm for their proposal preparation cost. Interested parties are strongly urged and expected to attend a site visit; date, time and location of site visit still to be determined. Information regarding the site visit will be indicated in the future solicitation. Statement of Work, Specifications, and/or Drawings, if available, will be issued as attachments to the solicitation. The solicitation will contain all necessary proposal instructions. This project will be solicited as a Total set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS code) for this procurement is 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction). Small Business concerns for this NAICS code have a size standard of $36.5MM. The resulting contract will be a firm-fixed contract. The period of performance of the contract is intended to be 90 calendar days after Notice to Proceed, with no options included. In accordance with VAAR 836.204, the anticipated Range of Magnitude for this project is projected to be: Between $100,000 and $250,000. It is anticipated that a Solicitation will be issued in October 2019. It is strongly recommended that interested parties register in the US Department of Veterans Affairs Vet Biz database and the Small Business Administration (SBA) database. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/ and www.sba.gov/, respectively. The Government will not pay any costs for responses submitted.
