The VA Puget Sound Health Care System Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service seeks a histology staining workflow system. It must include two IHC and two ISH immunostainers, two special stainers, and a specimen tracking system for proper specimen/slide identification, workflow auditing, error reduction, patient safety, chain of custody, and productivity monitoring. All components must communicate with each other, and the automated stainers must enable tracking and labeling of slides for special staining and immunostaining. The system must be compatible with VISTA and/or Cerner, any future VA electronic health record system, and Data Innovations middleware.
