668 Spokane Wheelchair Transportation Services New Requirement
The contracted service will provide wheelchair transportation for the Spokane, WA Mann Grandstaff VA Medical Center, its associated Community-Based Outpatient Clinics, and affiliated healthcare clinics. Service must be available 24/7, including weekends and holidays, with the contractor supplying all vehicles, personnel, management, equipment, supplies, and reporting. In addition to patient transport, the contractor may transport luggage up to 20 pounds, medical records, medications, and comfort items at no extra cost to the government. Destinations at the main facility include the ER, admissions, a clinic or service area, or directly to the ward as directed by VA staff. Transported patient records are confidential and handled in accordance with HIPAA.
