The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking a firm-fixed-price contract for a Biomedical Engineering Technician (BMET) to perform corrective and preventative maintenance on medical equipment across multiple health facilities in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. The contract has a 12-month period of performance with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2026, and includes a not-to-exceed amount of $50,000 for travel expenses. Work will be performed at various VA facilities, including locations in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, with the government retaining the right to add or subtract locations. The contractor must provide a qualified BMET with an associate degree and three years of experience, who will work standard hours Monday through Friday with potential overtime. The government will evaluate performance based on price and other factors, with a focus on meeting OEM specifications and completing corrective maintenance within an average of 8 days.
