6515--PR Needed NEW Request / Tyroid Molecular Tests - THYROSEQ 5 year contract
The Department of Veterans Affairs requires molecular testing of indeterminate thyroid nodule FNA specimens to stratify patients for surgical necessity, with an estimated annual volume of 120 tests at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System in Seattle. The contractor must provide a CLIA-certified laboratory offering a test with high specificity and sensitivity for malignancy, detecting mutations including BRAF, RAS, TERT, RET, NTRK, and ALK, with a turnaround time of seven business days. The contractor supplies transport media, packaging, and overnight shipping labels, and must have experience performing thyroid molecular testing for other VA laboratories. The base period of performance runs from October 1, 2026, to August 31, 2027, with four optional one-year extensions through August 31, 2031. Work will be performed at the contractor’s facility.
