Solicitation 36C26025R0023 for project 648-20-121 Vancouver Campus Security Fence for the Portland VA Medical Center - Vancouver is anticipated to be released to Contracting Opportunities on or about 10 November 2025. Period of Performance: The intended contract period of performance is 270 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. Description of Services: This project will construct a campus security fence surrounding the Vancouver VA Medical Center campus. Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, furnish labor and materials, and perform work for 648-20-121 Construct Campus Security Fence and Access Control (Vancouver) as required by drawings and specifications. THIS PROJECT WILL CONSTRUCT A CAMPUS SECURITY FENCE SURROUNDING THE VANCOUVER CAMPUS. THE NEW FENCE WILL BE CONSTRUCTED WITH A CONCRETE MOW STRIP, TWO MOTORIZED VEHICLE GATES, TWO PERSONNEL GATES, AND REPLACE THE EXISTING 6-FOOT CHAIN-LINK FENCE. A VEHICLE FORTIFICATION WILL BE INCLUDED FOR APPROXIMATELY 1100 LINEAR FEET OF PERIMETER FENCE ALONG FOURTH PLAIN BLVD. STARTING APPROXIMATELY 100-FEET EAST FROM THE NORTHWEST CORNER FOLLOWING THE PERIMETER EASTWARD. THIS FORTIFICATION IS CONCRETE, 3-FEET TALL, AND SLOPED LIKE A JERSEY BARRIER ON THE FOURTH PLAIN BLVD SIDE. FORTIFICATION TO BE DESIGNED TO STOP AN IMPACT FROM A 4000 LB VEHICLE TRAVELING 30MPH. THE INTENT IS FOR THE REPAIR OF THIS TYPE OF IMPACT TO BE LIMITED TO SURFACE DAMAGE OF THE CONCRETE. HEADLIGHT SCREENING IS INCLUDED FOR APPROXIMATELY 450-FEET WHERE POW/MIA ROAD GETS CLOSE TO FOURTH PLAIN BLVD. CAMERA SYSTEM FOR THE WHOLE PERIMETER FENCE WILL USE DESIGNED RACEWAYS.
