This is not a request for proposals, quotations, or bids; nor a synopsis of a proposed contract action under FAR Subpart 5.2 and no contract shall be awarded from this notice. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this Sources Sought or any follow up information requests. No solicitation is currently available. This notice is for market research purposes to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of interested Small Business firms. Responses to this Sources Sought may shape the acquisition strategy in developing a competitive requirement. Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in any future or potential solicitation. It is the intent of the VA to use the information gathered for market research purposes only. Veterans Health Administration, Regional Procurement Office West, Network Contracting Office 20, in support of the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center located in Spokane, WA, is conducting market research for a construction contract to: Completely prepare project areas for construction operations, including selective demolition and removal of existing materials, and furnishing all necessary tools, equipment, labor, materials, temporary equipment and items, specialty services, supervision, and perform all work to renovate approximately 7,900 SF of existing space and additional space of 516 SF of a single-story Building 7 at the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center in Spokane Washington. Contractor will provide all structural, architectural, civil, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, and special systems work. All work shall be performed per contract drawings and specifications. Period of performance is estimated to be 365 days for completion of work. Documents are currently in draft state and industry comment / suggestions are greatly encouraged and welcomed. The estimated magnitude for this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Sources are being sought for firms with a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, PSC Z2DZ and a with a Small Business Size Standard of $45 million. Sources are highly encouraged to respond to this notice. After review of the responses to this notice, and if the Government still plans to proceed with this project, a separate pre-solicitation announcement will be published on www.SAM.gov. Responses to this announcement are not an adequate response to any future solicitation announcement.
