One Firm Fixed Price contract will be awarded for the Roseburg VA Healthcare System for a contractor to provide Kitchen Hood Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance Services. The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing the service herein. Such contract service providers shall be accountable solely to the contractor, who in turn is responsible to the Government. The Roseburg VA Healthcare System operates 6 Commercial Kitchen Exhaust Hoods – 5 Commercial Kitchen Exhaust Hoods in the Main Kitchen in Building #71. 1 Commercial Kitchen Exhaust Hood in the Veterans Canteen Service Kitchen. The Scope of Work for this service is to perform the Semi-Annual Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance and the Annual Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of the Kitchen Ventilation Hoods. The Vendor will also provide to the Roseburg VA Healthcare System 2 – 5 Gallon Pails of G510EF Cleaning Agent for the Gaylord Washdown system hoods. The Contactor shall provide all necessary labor and materials to Inspect, Test, and Maintain the Kitchen Hood Extinguishing systems located in Building #71 at the Roseburg VA Healthcare System, located 913 NW Garden Valley Blvd., Roseburg OR. 97471. Inspections shall be in accordance with the latest edition of NFPA 17A & NFPA 96, respectively and the manufacturer’s recommendations. The work shall be performed in a manner that will ensure service ability and prevent deterioration in value or effectiveness.
