Questions in black and answers in red: Service Delivery: Could you provide more details on how the closed captioning service will be delivered during the event? Specifically, how will participants access the captions, and are there any specific platforms or tools required for this service? For example, could participants receive captions via SMS/MMS, or access a web link with a live transcription of the event? By using a Link that we provide for every Event, Veterans are able to hear the Audio and see the Slide Show and Closed Captioning. They do need to install any programs to watch that, just click the Link and it will work for them. Participant Interaction: Additionally, could you clarify how participant interaction should be managed in relation to the closed captioning? For instance, should there be options for participants to ask questions or participate in surveys through the captioning interface? Participants do not interact directly with Captioning unless they ask a Question Live (not recommended). Usually Participants ask Questions by dialing a certain code on their phones which moves them to a Screening Room where they ask the Question to a Screener that then types it out to the Host on the Platform. The below are an Add-On Feature and not included in a Standard VA Event. 1. A video feed with closed captioning. Yes, Closed Captioning appears on the Online Component alone. It is not a Video Feed, but more of a PC Screen with a Power Point Slide Show on it. 2. A transcript of the event after the event concludes, Yes, a Transcription of the Audio which is the same on the Phone and Online Components. 3. A TDD transcription of the call in real time during the call. Closed Captioning only to be seen on the Online Component alone.
