Head Positioning System for Spine Surgery (LEVO Brand Name or Equal) This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. This Notice is to determine interest and capability of potential sources which will aid in defining the procurement strategy (e.g., set-aside, sole source, unrestricted) for a solicitation the Department of Veterans Affairs may issue. This notice is intended strictly for market research. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the U.S. Government to form a binding contract or agreement. Finally, respondents are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this notice. This sources sought notice is currently restricted to only Small Business providers capable of fulfilling the requirement in accordance with the Salient Characteristics. This requirement is for: One (1) Head Positioning System same as or comparable to the LEVO Standard Package (7887-090) that includes the Arm, dual Motion Base, QuickConnect Aluminum Adapter, Prone Platform, Control Handles, Contoured Chest Pad and Raised Support Plate, One (1) Storage Cart same as or comparable to the Levo Storage Cart (7887-090) One (1) Quickconnect Radiolucent adapter for Head Positioning System same as or comparable to QuickConnect Radiolucent Mayfield Adapter (7887-803) One (1) Sterile Cervical Drape w/Window same as or comparable to Levo Sterile Cervical Drape w/Window (7894-6) Two (2) User Manuals One (1) Service Manual The Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard for the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 339113 is 750 employees. Salient Characteristics for this Requirement: Must be validated for use with the Mizuho OSI Trios® Table System. Documentation to validate the Head Positioning system s compatibility with the Mizuho OSI Trios® Table System must be provided with Notice of Interest. Must be compatible with the Mayfield Skull Clamp and documentation to validate the compatibility must accompany the Notice of Interest. Must have a quick connect adapter that allows for an easy and fast connection of the Mayfield Skull Clamp to the Head Positioning System during patient transfer, reducing the amount of time required for initial setup and take down after surgery. Must be powered by an electro-mechanically designed arm to decrease the positioning need from a 2 provider assist to a single provider assist. Must have an electro-mechanical design that allows for quick and secure release and locking of the head position. Must have ergonomic control handles that allows the surgeon to have precise control of all head positioning adjustments, pre- and intra-operatively. Must have intraoperative controls that allows for adjustments without breaking scrub or disturbing the sterile field. Must allow for safe and secure positioning of the patient's head during 180° rotations from supine to prone. The adjustment ranges for the dual motion base must be the following: Lateral Dual Motion Base ± 7.6 in. -(19.3 cm) Lateral - Lateral Base ± 6 in. (15.2 cm) Longitudinal ± 6.25 in. (15.9 cm) The Height adjustment ranges for the Z Tower must be ± 6.7 in. (17 cm) The Arm Ranges must be the following: Longitudinal ± 7.25 in. (18.4 cm) Vertical ± 14.5 in.
