DESCRIPTION This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE (36C26023Q0509) in support of the Department of Veteran Affairs Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center and Clinics (VA SORCC) in White City, OR for market research purposes only to determine the availability of potential businesses with capabilities to provide the requirement described below. This notice shall not be construed as a request for proposal/request for quote or as any commitment or obligation on the part of the Government to issue a solicitation. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this request so proposals will not be considered. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests. Response is strictly voluntary- it is not mandatory to submit a response to this notice to participate in any formal solicitation process that may take place in the future. However, it should be noted that information gathered through this notice may significantly influence our acquisition strategy. DESCRIPTION OF THE REQUIREMENT: The Department of Veterans Affairs is looking to obtain information on companies who are interested in the following project and would be able to provide the necessary construction work to complete it: This project involves the installation of panelized materials on top of partial height existing walls in stairwells (straight and sloped walls) in a plurality of 2-story buildings. This work will include installation of aluminum extrusions and various material connections to hold the panelized materials as well as demo of existing wall caps and localized wall materials. Handrail removal and putback is likely. Restoration following the panel installation includes new trim/caps and wall paint. Panelized materials may be resin panels or tempered glass materials.
