The System is used for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, such as functional interventions, micro-surgical procedures, or Gamma Knife® surgery. The Elekta Leksell Vantage Stereotactic system works with the Center s ROSA and StealthNavigator surgical systems. The Vantage system is a head positioning device that is a critical component in providing unmatched surgical accuracy. The Eletka Leksell Vantage Stereotactic system is compatible with current neurosurgical robots (ROSA) and navigation systems (Medtronic Stealth S8). This system is the only stereotactic system on the market that that allows for precise trajectory all the way down to the base of the skull due to the single piece frame, guide and stop slide. the neurosurgical team currently utilizes a stereotactic frame from Elekta. Elekta utilizes a proprietary guidance system that is unique from other vendors. This unique coordinate system allows a surgeon to locate and mark a site of interest with minimal confusion.
