THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR QUOTE; THE VA IS NOT SEEKING PRICING OR OFFERS. The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO20, in support of the VA SORCC Veteran Affairs Healthcare System, is currently requesting information to determine the existence of viable commercial sources for Smoke/Damper Fire Inspection. Description: The work to be performed includes a one-time, complete inspection and testing of all fire dampers, creation of damper inventory, and an agreement to provide fire damper maintenance and repair work as requested by the VASORCC, as part of an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for up to 5 years, at the determination of the Contracting Officer (CO). Additional inspections and work related to fire dampers may be ordered off the resulting IDIQ without further competition at the sole discretion of the CO. Contractor shall provide professional services, to include all labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment and permits necessary to inspect and test approximately 80 known, documented fire dampers and an estimated 60 unknown and undocumented dampers, located in Buildings 200-239 VA SORCC,8495 Crater Lake Hwy 97540. No change order will be considered for credit or additional cost, unless there is more than a 10% variation from the above stated number of fire dampers The Government is not soliciting offers at this time, and it will be the Contracting Officer who will determine which suggested changes are accepted. This is a source sought notice to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources. A solicitation is not currently available. Responses to this request will be considered for determining how the requirements will be stated and how the procurement will be conducted. This Source Sought announcement is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or to award a contract. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests.
