In accordance with FAR 13.106-1 (c )(1), the Department of Veterans Affairs intends to perform oral solicitations for Styrofoam recycling services for the Puget Sound VAMC. This will be set-aside for Small businesses. To be considered eligible for award, all small businesses must be registered/verified through beta.sam.gov. This solicitation will be performed Thursday, August 26, 2021. To be considered technically acceptable, vendor must be able to provide these specific tasks: Contractor shall provide polystyrene recycling pick-up services for VA Puget Sound Health Care System Seattle Division and American Lake Division. Seattle Division: Weekly pick-ups American Lake Division: Monthly pick-ups More than one pick-up location may be used by the facility at each Division. Contractor is responsible for self-service pick-ups for all designated pick-up locations. All polystyrene bins will be located on loading docks or truck loading areas. Bins will be accessible (not locked) for Contractor to access anytime for pick up during normal duty hours. Contractor must notify VA Puget Sound POC if there is an excess amount of non-recyclable items which results in no or limited emptying of the polystyrene waste bin.
