Is this the time window we are allowed to work within or the staff schedules wanted? Currently we had to have staff coverage of the CLC from 6:00am - 8:00pm daily and the other areas starting at 1:30pm until complete BUT we had to be out of the building by 11:30pm. At the current moment, there are two-day shift housekeepers. One arrives at 6:00am and the other arrives at 7:00am. There are two mid shift housekeepers that start at 1:30PM and work until their assignments are completed. If that is the hours they want covered, do they have a preference on how many people per shift? Per history, two housekeepers per shift. Two-day shift and two mid shift. Currently service only the CLC on holidays. Are they wanting to remove holidays in the CLC as well? The CLC should be serviced 24/7 including holidays with times starting by 6:00AM and no later then 8:00AM. The remaining areas ( Dietetics, office spaces) should be Monday-Friday, excluding holidays, from 1:30PM thru 10:00PM. The CLC needs to be cleaned 7 days a week, that is not an option. There are no VA staff that are assigned duties for this issue. The CLC must be cleaned daily to keep infections down and garbage taken out. When the CBOC moved out of the building we still clean a portion of that space, 4,964 SF. That is CLIN 0003 in the current contract. Are they not wanting that cleaned anymore? This will not be included in the new contract Under the Periodic Cleaning section starting on page 6 of 83. J. Fort Harrison Furniture Moving is still included which is no longer needed but J. and K. from the previous SOW were removed which I believe would still be needed. I say that because these are areas, we would get emails from Jim on periodically. I just wanted to confirm. To confirm, Fort Harrison furniture moving should be removed. Sections j-k, should be added to the SOW. Miles City facilities moves furniture as requested for the CLC and other areas that are occupied in the facility. J. Nursing Home Beds in Miles City CLC (Weekly) Cleaned weekly for infection control and veteran health care. Need to remain in the contract. K. Patient Rooms in Miles City (CLC) (As Required) when the floors need to be buffed or waxed the nurse, manager and building manager set that time frame to have as little of disruption to the residents as we can. Currently cleaning the eating Area or "dining room" in the CLC. I didn't see that listed in the new SOW. Is that still needing to be serviced after each meal (3 per day)? Yes, this would still need to be serviced. CLC dining area needs to have tables wiped down, floor swept and mopped after every meal, slip fall prevention due to spills, keeps insects from entering the building. This needs to stay in the contract. How many Janitorial Staff are working? How many janitorial closets are available? Day SHIFT  2 --- MID SHIFT -- 2  -- 3 closets, 1 in the CLC and 2 in the main building 1st floor --- there are 4 employees on staff Who is the incumbent? HAMHED LIMITED LIABILIY COMPANY How much is the current contract total? $ 3,624,120.00 Note: This contract was multiple building and multiple locations. Many of which were removed after contract award. Is it possible to extend the response date one week? PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT JANITORIAL SERVICES INTRODUCTION The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is the Nation's largest integrated health care system. With a medical care appropriation of more than $47 billion, VHA employs more than 239,000 staff at over 1,400 sites, including hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, domiciliary occupancies, and Readjustment Counseling Centers. In addition, VHA is the Nation's largest provider of graduate medical education and a major contributor to medical research. PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT The Contractor shall provide all management, labor, supervision, training, needed to provide janitorial/aseptic housekeeping services for the Miles City VA Community Living Center (CLC)/Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) as specified in this Performance Work Statement (PWS). Performance standards shall be according to the requirements contained in this PWS. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with Federal, State, and local regulations. The applicable federal regulations that are included but not limited to are the following: current Joint Commission (TJC) Manuals; Occupational Safety and Health Agency (OSHA); Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Hazardous Materials requirements; Center for Disease Control (CDC); and all regulations cited in this contract; all applicable local, state, and federal laws, regulations, codes and directives and industry standards. JCAHO establishes the facility and management standards for VA facilities. The VA is committed to maintaining JCAHO approved health care facilities. The Contractor shall provide the services stated in the PWS at the rates set forth which includes all applicable taxes, assessments, and related charges, including adjustments for it. The Government shall provide all the necessary equipment and supplies to perform such services and all such equipment shall comply with all applicable federal, state, county, and municipal laws, regulations, guidelines and permits. 2.1 LOCATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Janitorial/aseptic services shall be provided by the contractor for VA hospital within the state of Montana. Miles City VA CLC/CBOC 210 S Winchester Ave Miles City, Mt 59301 Clean offices, exam rooms, patient rooms, procedure rooms, lobbies, hallways, bathrooms, and staff areas. Approximately a total of 21,964 sq. ft. Contractors will be on site from 7:00am - 3:30pm and from 3:00pm 11:30pm.
