The Grand Junction VA Medical Center Sterile Processing Service (SPS), is in need of two new automated endoscopic re-processors (AERs) and the associated channel drying systems to disinfect and dry the inner channels of the facilities inventory of colonoscopes and esophageal fiberscopes. The facility does not currently have the system to reliably keep up with the OR s procedural schedule. Automated endoscope re-processors are used to reprocess endoscopes. AERs are designed to kill microorganisms that may remain on, or in the endoscopy interior channels after their use in procedures.
