Physicists Survey and Radiation Output verification Montana VA Health Care System PURPOSE: The Montana VA Health Care System requires a contract to provide Physicists Survey and Radiation Output verification. The contractor is to provide Physicists testing to include: New machine dose, linearity, reproducibility, and site shielding survey. Annual calibration, testing of Gamma Camera, and annual testing of all Montana VA healthcare radiation emitting machines from dental systems, RAD, R/F, CT and ECT shall be in accordance with CFR 21. 1020.30 (d)(1), 21 CFR 1020.30-40 , Compliance Checklist: Joint Commission s Imaging Standards, Nuclear medicine 20.1101 Radiation protection programs. This includes half value layer, Timer, Reproducibility, Linearity of kV and mA, filaments, x-ray to light field, ion chamber balance, room radiation survey, and ect. These services are to be provide in an efficient and cost-effective manner, supporting the VA mission.
