Questions and Answers for Reconfigure Gas Lines for Pulmonary F2 What is the ICRA level for each location to add Med Gas Lines? Assume Class III in rooms on 2rd floor. In the interstitial, dust mats will be required at entry ways to prevent tracking dust out. The specifications call out to have a separate Superintendent, QC and Safety Officer on site full time. Can this requirement be waved so that the superintendent can perform all three of these duties? Yes, these duties can be performed by the same person. The Revised SOW calls out adding seven outlets and the room numbers. Please provide a floor plan showing the location of the new DLCO gas outlets and the location the DLCO gas line is coming from. The project drawing in is correct. The number of outlets in the text of the original SOW was not correct. There are three existing outlets in F2-232 which must be replaced with the custom DLCO outlets. There are two new DLCO outlets in F2-236. There are two new DLCO outlets in F2-238. This makes a total of seven outlets in the project. See blue line on project drawing. Will the contractor be able to work on each of the seven locations at the same time or will the work need to be phased? If phasing is required, please provide a phasing schedule/what areas can be worked on simultaneously. All work affecting patient areas will need to be performed on weekends when patients are not present. If work is not completed during a weekend, the dust containment will have to be removed where it restricts operations. How many locations for the new MED Gas lines will require drywall patch and repair? Nine. The seven DLCO location plus the two oxygen locations. Please confirm the rooms where the DLCO lines tie into these lines can be dropped out of the ceiling and tied into the bottles and not drywall patch is required at these locations. The requirement is to create seven locations with wall outlets for DLCO that utilize the DISS 1020 connection. The DLCO cylinders in F2-209 serve three existing outlets in F2-232 but these outlets must be replaced with a different type to incorporate the DISS 1020 fittings.  Since this is not a standard connection type for a wall outlet and demand check style fittings of this type do not exist, a custom wall plate with integral shutoff valve must be created. Drywall patching will be required to connect these custom wall plates to the existing drops in F2-232. The four new DLCO drops in rooms F2-236 and F2-238 will be fed from the cylinders in F2-209 via the existing distribution in the interstitial. Core drilling and drywall work will be required for the new DLCO drops. What is the shutdown requirements for tying into the Bulk Oxygen system?  Are there existing isolation valves or do we have to shut down the hole system? If the entire bulk oxygen system needs to be shut down will the VA provides an alternate source of oxygen to the hospital? The bulk oxygen will be isolated at the Medical Gas Zone box shown on 03.PP.102-A. This zone serves only the sleep lab and pulmonary. No, other areas will be affected. The tie-in will need to be scheduled for a weekend when neither area is in use. Can the work be performed during normal business hours? If not, what portion of work will need to be completed after hours?  Core drilling and tie-ins to oxygen and DLCO will need to be scheduled for weekends when neither the sleep lab or pulmonary are in use. Interstitial work with the exception of tie-ins and core drilling can be performed during normal working hours. Work inside the rooms on 2nd floor will need to be performed on weekends when patients are not present.

A joint venture agrees that, in the performance of the contract, the applicable percentage specified in paragraph (d) of this clause will be performed by the aggregate of the joint venture participants. (f) Precedence. For any inconsistencies between the requirements of the SBA program for service-disabled Veteran-owned small business concerns and the VA Veterans First Contract Program, as defined in VAAR subpart 819.70 and this clause, the VA Veterans First Contracting Program requirements have precedence.
