The Salt Lake Medical Center needs a Pre-Construction Asbestos Survey (NESHAP) for an upcoming project. The contractor will be required to collect all samples and for the testing services, which includes visual assessments and bulk sampling of building materials, for all areas that the matrix of any building materials may be disrupted during the project. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor and materials to collect samples. Any sampling that damages the substrate shall be repaired, by the contractor, with a matching non-asbestos encasing material. The contractor shall practice safe sampling procedures to ensure that all VA employees, patients and visitors are protected from potential exposure to airborne asbestos.
