Performance Work Statement Fire Protection- Firewalls Eastern Oklahoma VA Health System Muskogee, OK 74401 Fire Protection - Firewalls Background The Eastern Oklahoma Veterans Health Care System (Jack C. Montgomery VAMC, Muskogee) has an emergent need for firewall protection. Description Contractor to provide all tools, materials, and labor to inspect and correct approximately 2,500 linear feet (LF) of Fire and Smoke/Fire walls within EOVAHCS per NFPA 101 2018 edition. Contractor will be provided a copy of the Statement of Conditions (SOC) drawings that identify the locations of the Fire and Smoke/Fire walls and they will inspect those walls above the ceiling on both sides to validate that there are not penetrations. there are approximately 1,000 through floor/ceiling (the deck) penetrations that will need to be addressed. All deck penetrations are to be sealed to a 2-hour fire rated assembly and sealed on both sides. Some of the existing penetrations may have expanding foam in them. In the locations with expanding foam, we will need to have the expanding foam removed and an appropriate Hilti product installed. All identified penetrations will be properly sealed using a Hilti fire stop product per the manufacturer s application requirements for the walls according to the appropriate rating as identified on the SOC drawings.
