This is NOT a job advertisement for hiring employees. The VA is seeking QUALIFIED VENDORS to provide a very brief response to this notice including only just what is asked for in this notice below. This is sources sought notice to industry and the only information is posted on FBO web page. Sources sought means seeking qualified vendors. The attachments included on the FBO page do not include any additional information. If your company is interested please read this notice entirely and submit the required information, as requested herein. VA is seeking current qualified sources ( vendors ) who have interest and capability of performing quarterly analysis of water samples for the detection of Legionella only. Two VA medical centers require respective services: Montana VA Health Care System averages 80 tests per quarter (November, February, May and August), estimating 320 tests annually, and Sheridan VA Health Care System averages 120 tests per quarter, estimating 480 tests annually. A qualified vendor must have the capability to include provision of Mail-order Testing Kits for use by VA staff at each location. VA staff will collect samples in accordance with sampling protocol and ship samples to contractor s lab at no additional cost to the government. A qualified vendor would have the capability to provide timely and immediate reports, 24 hours following completions of tests. Results of reports must be issued in a timely manner to assist with informing the VA so they can take immediate action and corrective measures to ensure water safety and hygiene, and reducing risks to VA patients. Current in qualifications means Legionella testing and analysis services must be conducted in accordance VHA Directive 1061 and CDC Elite Lab protocol. Additional qualifications include recent experience (within past 3 years) of performing services of a comparable size, scope and complexity, as well as current and valid registration in System for Award Management (SAM), https://www.sam.gov/SAM/.
