The Department of Veteran Affairs, Network Contracting Office 19 (NCO 19) has a requirement to construct an approximate 18K GSF, 20-bed PTSD Psychiatric Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (PRRTP) building. The patient rooms will be a combination of private and semi-private rooms at the VA Medical Center located in Aurora, CO as per drawings and specifications. NCO 19 is conducting market research to determine if enough competition exists in the Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) socio-economic programs. The SDVOSB firms must have the capability and capacity to perform work with a construction magnitude between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000. The NAICS code for this procurement will be 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The project scope includes general construction for demolition, renovation and new work, alterations, site work, mechanical, electrical, general carpentry, plumbing, civil etc. The current small business size standard for 236220 is $36.5 million. If a Request for Proposal is issued in the future, please note all SDVOSBs must be listed in the VIP database, available at http://www.VetBiz.gov. Offerors must apply for and receive verification from the Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) in accordance with 38 CFR Part 74 and VAAR 819.70 by submission of documentation of Veteran status, ownership and control enough to establish appropriate status, offerors must be both VISIBLE and VERIFIED by the Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Verification and Evaluation at the time of contract award. Failure to be both VERIFIED by CVE and VISIBLE on VetBiz at the time of contract award will result in the offeror s proposal being deemed non-responsive. All offerors are urged to contact the CVE and submit the required documents to obtain CVE verification of their SDVOSB status if they have not already done so.
