The Albuquerque VA Hospital requests procurement of an Electric/lithium powered extended cab truck dedicated solely for the Warehouse for the delivery of medical supplies and equipment from the warehouse to designated clinics located on campus. An extended cab truck is necessary for the warehouse delivery of medical supplies and equipment around the facility campus, lithium/electric powered vehicle should significantly decrease air pollution and assist in lowering harmful emissions. The current vehicle being utilized has been deemed unrepairable and is unreliable for daily warehouse operations. Additionally, the bed of current vehicle is too small to meet the needs of delivering equipment. The requirement to rapidly respond to facility emergency deliveries based on the patient population and service requirement is detrimental and cannot be met with the current vehicle. Power options to include air conditioning will greatly assist with local weather which can exceed 90 degrees in the summer and fall. A Cargo Truck is needed for delivery of medical supplies and equipment. Truck must be a Extended Cab Truck, 72V, Fwd/Neutral/Reverse Push Button Automatic Transmission, 35HP, Direct Mounted AC Motor on Axle, 550AMP Programmable Controller Rust Proof Undercoating, Front Air Conditioning, Lithium Batteries, Steel/Metal Chassis, Maximum Speed Limit - 25mph, 100AMP.
